Heartfelt Gift Service by Wasuian

Our wrapping used to look like the one on the left, but now it looks like the one on the right. The seal in the center is now a gorgeous shiny gold finish.

The most heated discussion among the staff in renewing this seal was "which part should be foil-stamped."

(Foil stamping refers to the application of gold or silver foil to the surface of paper, containers, etc.)

We felt that it shouldn’t be too flashy, but it would feel unfinished if we did not do it at all, so we came up with a variety of ideas, and everyone had a lively and opinionated discussion over them. The result is the sticker shown above.

One part of the arrow pattern (yagasuri) is stamped in foil, giving the sticker a stylish finish with a hint of playfulness.

In addition, the message cards were also revised. The messages we receive to send along with the gifts are from the simple to the unique. Some even move us to tears. However, all of them express the precious thoughts and feelings of each and every customer.

We wanted to create a card with specifications that would be treasured and kept close at hand. It is with this thought in mind that this card was born.

On the left are the cards before the change, and on the right is the card after the change. The colorful look of the previous cards have been unified into an elegant gray, and " Wasuian " is stamped in foil on the reverse side of the card.

When combined with the sticker, the gold and silver foils are now aligned, which is a good omen.

There is another kind of sticker, which is used to fasten the Japanese paper that wraps the product inside the gift box. The logo in the shape of the character for "iki (chic/stylish)" is impressive.

As we considered this, we also decided to change the wrapping bags. The staff designed the new wrapping bag with the brand image of Wasuian in mind. The new bags have an elegant Japanese style that better matches the feeling of our store.

Compared to the previous plastic bags, the new wrapping bags are made of washi (Japanese paper), which is environmentally friendly. The design and material of the bag, with its calm diamond pattern and gold foil stamping, has a luxurious feel and could be given as a gift all on its own.
