Job Description

Sewing

Staff Comment

It's comfortable to wear and the fabric is sturdy.
Unlike a kimono, you can easily put it on by tying the cords, making it a fun item to enjoy.

① Challenging Fabrics:
Sashiko-ori Samue-Style Hanten
Attaching pockets requires pattern matching, so it takes longer than attaching regular pockets.
With drop-stitch sewing, the needle tends to slip away from the collar, so you have to sew carefully, pulling it back, which is quite challenging.

② Favorite / Recommended Fabrics:
Kasuri Tsumugi Samue
It offers more color options than other samue, making it easier to find a favorite shade.
You can also change the color you wear each season, allowing you to enjoy Japanese culture.

③ Particular Attention When Sewing:
I check that seam allowances are sewn evenly and that hems align properly.
I also adjust my grip depending on the fabric while sewing.
