In Japan, early summer has arrived, and with each passing day, the warmth is gradually building. Even a short stroll outside is enough to remind us that the hotter months are just around the corner. It’s the perfect time to start enjoying the light, breezy styles that make summer fashion so refreshing.

At WASUIAN, we offer a wide range of summer products. We particularly recommend jinbei for the upcoming hot season.

In response to customer requests, WASUIAN now offers a total of 11 types of jinbei, including styles for children, in a variety of fabrics such as soft 100% cotton, cool ramie, easy-care polyester, and eco-friendly Japanese paper.

1. Size

At WASUIAN, our samue is available in various sizes, while all jinbei come in a standard size, so you don't have to worry about selecting different sizes for each item. You can find a detailed size chart on each product page for your reference.

Our jinbei are designed for a snug fit. Made from lightweight, natural fabrics like cotton and linen, they are perfect for summer wear, but please note that some shrinkage may occur after washing. If you're uncertain about your size, we recommend choosing one size larger.

2. Colors

At WASUIAN, each jinbei is meticulously crafted from specially selected fabrics sourced from Enshu (Shizuoka Prefecture), Omi (Shiga Prefecture), and other regions renowned for their textile production. As a result, the color of each product may vary slightly. In this instance, we are showcasing navy blue fabric, which is utilized in all our jinbei except for the 7010 Ink Painting Jinbei, to demonstrate the differences in color.

Each color possesses its own unique characteristics, and we are confident that every customer will find a shade that suits their taste.

The most popular products in this category are the 7003 Cotton-Ramie Yoryu Jinbei and the 7060 Cotton Shijira Jinbei. The Cotton-Ramie Yoryu Jinbei features soft, gentle, and light colors, while the Cotton Shijira Jinbei boasts deeper, more vivid, and subdued hues.

Each fabric has a unique texture, but the 1603 Omi Chijimi Hon'asa (Pure Ramie) Jinbei strikes a balance between the two. The 7080 Washi Shijira-ori Jinbei shares the austere quality of the Cotton Shijira Jinbei but is available in a different color.

3. Fabric Texture

Excluding the 1118 COOLMAX® Seersucker Jinbei, nine of WASUIAN's jinbei products are crafted from natural fabrics like cotton and hemp. These materials are thin and soft to the touch while also being durable. Among these, the 1603 Omi Chijimi Hon'asa (Pure Ramie) Jinbei and the 7080 Washi Shijira-ori Jinbei stand out due to their remarkable texture.

When we typically think of fabrics made from hemp, we often associate them with a rough and coarse feel. However, the 1603 Omi Chijimi Hon'asa (Pure Ramie) Jinbei offers a smooth and soft texture. It feels gentle against the skin, and the unique cooling effect of the ramie fabric keeps you feeling cool and refreshed.

At WASUIAN, we meticulously inspect all our products before shipping. Whenever we pick up a jinbei, we are always impressed by its cool and smooth texture. Additionally, the glossy luster—unlike that found in other jinbei—adds a unique charm.

The 7080 Washi Shijira-ori Jinbei, as its name suggests, is made from a unique fabric woven from a special type of Japanese paper called "washi." This washi fiber is often referred to as the "third fiber." When disposed of, it decomposes naturally through microorganisms in the soil, making it an environmentally friendly material that is gaining popularity. Like other jinbei, it is machine washable when using a laundry net.

The standout feature of this jinbei is its lightweight nature. The fabric has a crisp feel, ensuring comfort even on extremely hot days when wearing regular underwear feels uncomfortable. Additionally, we offer matching tabi socks made from the same washi material.

4. Difference in Tailoring

At WASUIAN, we provide two types of jinbei sleeves: one crafted with traditional takoito yarn and the other with torsion lace, offering a more relaxed feel.
