Using the light, soft, and beautifully lustrous Pima cotton denim fabric from Kaihara Corporation, a denim fabric manufacturer with the top market share in Japan, we have created a casual and comfortable hanten.
The small amount of padding makes it easy to move around in and can be quickly put on, yet it is still warm and goes well with general clothing as well as samue. This hanten has a casual yet luxurious appearance and can be used by people of all ages, making it an ideal gift item.

- The color of this indigo-dyed product will fade with each wash.
- When washing, do not wash with other clothes.
- If worn over white or light-colored clothing, the dye may transfer.
- To prevent color transfer, please wash the samue once before wearing.
- Turn it inside out and wash it under slow moving water.
- After washing, wring it out immediately and dry it in the shade.

What Are Hanten?
There are two main types of Hanten; Shirushibanten and Wataireitenten.
Shirushibanten have a store name or crest on the back of the collar and were worn by craftsmen as formal wear or work clothes.
Wataire Hanten were born as winter wear for ordinary people. They feature padding between the outer and inner lining for warmth during Japan's cold winters.
Today, our hanten are worn by a wide variety of people as a kind of stylish jacket both indoors or for going out.
