I gave this as a birthday present to my Aikido instructor.
When I told him that the long haori was inspired by traditional firefighting wear, he said, “That’s so cool,” and seemed to fall even more in love with it.

Fit:
I was a little worried that the L size might be too large for him, but it fits perfectly over his dōgi.

Comfort:
He says he can truly feel the quality of the fabric and the craftsmanship every time he slips his arms into the sleeves.

Coordinating:
Since his dōgi is white and his hakama is black, the deep navy haori creates a striking and well-balanced ensemble. He especially loves the navy shade—not too bright, not too dark, but perfectly chic.
